PROJECT OVERVIEW

Project Scope:  The client approached K2 Interiors to design a residence of 127 Sq. Yards which would fulfil their requirement of the home which is modern, comfortable, and functional living space that reflected their personal style and needs. Our goal was to build and design key areas of the home spread over 3 floors, including 5 bedrooms, living room, kitchen, lobby areas on each floor and parking for 2 cars and outdoor patio.

Design Challenges:

Space Optimization: Maximizing the use of available space to ensure both aesthetics and functionality as the family wanted a feel of a bungalow on a small piece of land.

Style Consistency: Merging the family’s diverse style preferences into a cohesive design.

Natural Light: Enhancing natural light throughout the home while ensuring privacy.

Solutions and Highlights:

1. Entrance /Lobby: We designed the common lift lobby between residential rooms to enhance the aesthetic appeal and functionality, creating a welcoming and luxurious entry point for residents. Use of premium materials such as marble flooring, wood panelling, and brushed metal accents to give a high-end look. We installed a sleek, recessed lighting to create a warm and inviting ambiance.
2. Living Room: We created an open-concept living area to promote a sense of spaciousness and facilitate family gatherings. Designed custom furniture pieces that blend modern aesthetics with comfort, including a large sectional sofa and a stylish coffee table. We installed a combination of recessed lighting and elegant pendant lights to create a warm, inviting atmosphere. One can sneak into a common washroom which is otherwise hidden behind a mirrored wall which is meticulously crafted by cutting each piece of mirror intricately.
3. Kitchen: Used a clean, minimalist design with black cabinetry, white quartz on countertops, and backsplash for a timeless look. U-shaped functional layout providing ample storage space integrated state-of-the-art appliances to enhance functionality and efficiency, a semi open kitchen connected to the dining area.
4. Master Bedroom: Created a serene environment with soft colour palettes, luxurious textiles, and blackout curtains to ensure a restful night’s sleep. We incorporated built-in wardrobes and under-bed storage to keep the room clutter-free. Added personalized decor elements, such as custom artwork and a high rise seating area.
5. Sons’ Bedroom: We designed a standard bedroom into a vibrant, functional space tailored for a young boy, focusing on creativity, play, and study. We used a mix of bold and neutral colours to create an energetic yet balanced environment. Furniture was designed as per his custom needs to give a vibrant and unique look to the room. We designed a low height rustic bed with built-in storage. A dedicated study space was created with an ergonomic chair and ample desk space along with a play station area to relish his leisure time
6. TERRACE Space: Designed an outdoor gazebo area with comfortable seating, a table, and a built-in barbecue for family gatherings and entertaining guests. Enhanced the terraced with Moroccan pattern floor, low-maintenance plants, ambient lighting, and to create a relaxing outdoor retreat.
